Our History
The journey of SMH Logistics began in the early 1980s when our founder recognized a gap in the market for a logistics service provider that could offer personalized attention and customized solutions. Starting with a single warehouse and a handful of dedicated staff, we have expanded our capabilities significantly, embracing technology and innovation to meet the evolving needs of our clients. CEO
Sung Moon is a globally experienced executive with 30 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly and supply chain currently serving as Chief Executive Officer for SMH Logistics since 2021. In his role he has championed stabilization and growth through implementation of sound fundamentals and technology. He has previously served in multiple executive roles to drive profitable growth strategies such as the award of $350 million annual contract.
Passion for operations, passion for people and passion to deliver solutions. It started with a career in industrial engineering to VP of finance and to his current role at SMH Logistics. During his career, he has had the opportunity to provide leadership in finance, accounting, manufacturing, assembly, purchasing, sales, cost estimation, project management, and supply chain. Sung continues to champion a customer centric focus while building teams that can deliver exceptional results.
John Carico
Operations Manager
John Carico is an accomplished operations leader with over 30 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, and transportation management. He specializes in optimizing supply chain solutions, managing multi-site operations, and overseeing budgets. His expertise in facility selection, KPI management, and operational planning has driven efficiency and strengthened customer relationships.
John has held leadership roles at several logistics companies, gaining deep knowledge in profit and loss management, workforce development, and regulatory compliance. With hands-on experience in fleet operations, terminal management, and employee relations, he remains committed to operational excellence and delivering tailored logistics solutions that drive business success.
